A Barrie police vehicle remains parked outside a home on Blake Street, just north of St. Vincent Street, as fire officials investigate a suspicious blaze at an east-end residence.

A fire department spokesperson tells Barrie 360 that the fire started around 4:20 Friday afternoon, and that everyone in the home got out safely.

There is no total damage available.

While the blaze is considered suspicious, the fire official said that the Ontario Fire Marshall has been alerted, but will not be attending the scene.
