Officials probing 'suspicious' house fire in Muskoka Lakes Township

The Muskoka Crime Unit and Bracebridge OPP are investigating a house fire in Muskoka Lakes Township yesterday.

Emergency crews responded to a call from a resident living on Elizabeth Street, in the Torrance area, around 8:45 a.m.

"Indicating that their neighbour's residence was on fire, and it quickly became fully engulfed in flames," OPP wrote in a release.

"The caller attempted to ascertain if there was anyone inside, and emergency responders were soon able to confirm that there were no people or pets inside the home at the time."

OPP say the fire is considered to be suspicious.
