
A fire described as 'suspicious' at a residence in Bradford West Gwillimbury Wednesday morning is being investigated by South Simcoe Police.
At 1:45 a.m., police responded to a report of a fire at a house on Rowe Street, which was quickly extinguished once officers and Bradford Fire arrived on-scene.
The residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and officers immediately secured a perimeter around the residence.

It was determined through investigation that two alleged suspects approached the residence with a liquid accelerant and started a fire.
Witnesses added that those suspects were dressed in dark clothing and wearing face masks. The two were seen fleeing the area on foot and leaving the subdivision in a dark-coloured SUV.

South Simcoe Police are asking anyone with information to contact its Criminal Investigations Bureau or reach out to Crime Stoppers.
