The Helping Hand thrift store in Angus may need a helping hand after a vehicle plowed through the front of the store on Saturday afternoon.

Essa Township Deputy Fire Chief Gary McNamara, in an email to Barrie 360, said crews were alerted shortly before 3 p.m. about a vehicle into a building. When firefighters arrived at 6 Massey Street near Mill Street, Ontario Provincial Police and County of Simcoe paramedics were on scene and the occupants were out of their vehicle.

McNamara said there were no injuries to the occupants of the vechicle or two people who were in the store.

He added that Essa's building department determined there was no structural damage to the business.

What caused the vehicle to slam into the store has not been determined.
