Previous Story

A serious crash between a pickup and dump truck Wednesday morning has closed Highway 12 in Tay Township.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP say around 10:15, officers responded to the incident between Gratrix Road and Frazer Lane.

First responders, including Tay Township Fire Services and Simcoe Paramedic Services, are on scene treating the involved drivers.

OPP say they expect Highway 12 to be closed at a minimum until 4:00 p.m. for investigation.

Police say Neekaunis Road is being used as a detour around the crash and Midland-Orillia traffic should consider using Vasey Road to detour.

Further details will be provided as they become available.
