One person is facing charges in a police operation dubbed "Project Braided," as officers executed a search warrant at the Tay Township home of the suspect and seized cocaine, cash, a 2017 Honda Civic, and about $60,000 in jewellery, designer luggage, and clothing.
Members of the Southern Georigan Bay OPP Community Street Crime Unit, in partnership with the Anishinabek Police Service (Christian Island), were involved in the bust.
Police say the suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday after they departed from a residence in Tay Township and their vehicle was pulled over during a traffic stop on Vasey Road.
According to investigators, the car was searched under warrant, resulting in the seizure of cocaine and currency.
A 40-year-old Tay Township woman has been charged with drug and property crime offences.
