Technical Difficulties Extend Voting Hours
Internet and Phone Voting Affected
A tech issue being blamed on the supplier has made for an extended voting period.
Issues began cropping up about an hour before polls closed, and it soon became evident that all communities in Simcoe County that relied on Internet or phone voting were having problems.
Due to the continued Province wide technical challenges pertaining to on-line and telephone voting, please be advised that telephone and on-line voting will be available until 8pm tomorrow evening (October 23rd.)

The following communities have extended voting until 8:00 Tuesday evening.
- Bradford West Gwillimbury
- Collingwood
- Innisfil
- Oro Medonte
- Penetanguishene
- Springwater
Meanwhile, Barrie, Orillia, Essa Township, Midland, New Tecumseth, Severn, Tay, and Tiny all relied on more traditional methods of voting, and were expecting to announce results shortly after polls closed at 8:00pm
