A 13-year-old boy is showing slight signs of improvement, South Simcoe Police said in an update Friday regarding an altercation in Bradford last week that left him in critical condition.

Police began an investigation on Sept. 14 after being alerted about a 13-year-old boy who collapsed shortly after arriving home from school.

The boy was transported to a Toronto hospital with critical injuries.

Police also said on Friday that they have received a video of the altercation and would like to thank members of the public for their prompt assistance after investigators issued an appeal for the video.

Another 13-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident.
