Teen driver clocked double the speed limit on Hwy 400: OPP

An 18-year-old man with an apparent need for speed will need to find some walking shoes.

Provincial police said in a social media post on Friday that they stopped a vehicle travelling 201 km/h on Highway 400 southbound in Springwater Township.

The motorist, who is from Rama, was charged with speeding and stunting driver.

His driver's licence was suspended for 30 days, and his vehicle was suspended for 14 days.

"Speeding puts everyone at risk. This holiday season, please slow and drive responsibily," police stated.
