Teen driver suffers life-altering injuries in Tiny Township crash
Second driver charged with impaired
An 18-year-old Flos Township woman suffered life-altering injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Tiny Township.
First responders were called to the crash on Baseline Road between Downer’s Road and Mertz Corner Road just after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP say firefighters had to extricate the teenage driver from the vehicle. She was transported to Georgian Bay General Hospital and then airlifted to a trauma centre for treatment of her injuries.
Police say the lone driver of the other vehicle, a 34-year-old Midland man, has been charged with impaired driving and impaired operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
His vehicle was towed and his licence was suspended for 90 days.
