A vehicle without its full headlights activated is what attracted Barrie police to the behaviour of a motorist in the north part of the city early Sunday.
Police say they observed the vehicle travelling westbound on Grove Street East and northbound on Bayfield Street, and the driver was eventually stopped a short distance away on Heath Street.
The motorist blew into a screening device and police say it determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.
An 18-year-old Parry Sound man was charged with impaired driving and two offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
His vehicle was impounded for seven days and the man's driver's licence has been suspended for three months.
He has a court date in April.
