Rock tossing has resulted in charges against a Barrie teen.

Police were alerted around 8 p.m. on Tuesday about some male youths seen at the back of the Lampman Lane Community Centre on Lampman Lane.

One youth was seen allegedly throwing rocks, which caused a window to shatter.

Officers received a detailed description of the kid, but he and his buddies fled into a nearby wooded area.

He emerged a short time later.

The 14-year-old was charged with mischief under $5,000 and was held for a bail hearing via video later on Wednesday.
