(UPDATE) Teen stabbing victim released from hospital: Barrie police

Barrie police say a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed near a high school was treated at a local hospital and then released.

Officers were called about the stabbing around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Barrie police communications coordinator Peter Leon said the incident happened on Bayview Drive in an area separated by fencing between Napoleon Grills and the driveway where school buses enter to Innisdale Secondary School.

No arrest has been made.

Police believe this is an isolated incident.
