Nottawasaga OPP has charged a teenage woman with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision Tuesday morning in New Tecumseth.

Just before 1:30 a.m., police responded to a crash on Industrial Parkway, east of Church Street in Alliston. Officers found the vehicle during general patrols, noting it had collided with a traffic signal in the centre median.

Officers met with the driver, and eventually formed a belief that the driver was impaired by alcohol, which led to their arrest. The driver, who suffered a minor injuries, was brought to hospital.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old from New Tecumseth was charged with impaired driving. She'll appear in court on December 18 in Bradford.
