Like most Canadians' Ryan Reynolds knows the significance of the Terry Fox Run. That's why the Vancouver Born actor helped design this year's Terry Fox Run T-shirt.

The Foundation and Reynolds spilled the news about the collaboration on social media with a picture of him wearing the new threads.

The shirt shows a picture of Fox with "Dear Terry" and "Cher Terry" written across the front. On the back are words of encouragement from real messages Terry received while on his journey, including "You are my greatest hero ever."

In his post, Reynolds said, "I've been taking part in the Terry Fox Run since second grade and can't think of a more enduring and lovely legacy for one person. Terry Fox inspired millions in life and death."

From April -September 1980, Terry ran from the Atlantic Ocean to just outside Thunder Bay, Ontario, with an artificial leg to raise awareness about cancer research.

He passed away in June 1982 at the age of 22. Each year the Terry Fox run is held around the Country.

This year's t-shirts are available for presale.
