The Collingwood Downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA) is pleased to announce the return of the Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market, this Saturday, May 22. We continue to work with the Town of Collingwood and the local health unit to ensure that we have all protocols in place to ensure a safe shopping experience for both market vendors and customers.
Come out this Saturday for the first market of the season and enjoy Collingwood’s ‘only outdoor grocery store’ at the corner of Second and Pine Streets. The market will open from 8 a.m. and continue to 1 p.m.
Please note that the market will be presented in the same format as last year. We will require that you respect physical distancing and wear a face mask both in line and in the market area. No pet dogs will be allowed. We will be managing inflow of traffic at the one-way entrance along Pine Street as well as arrows will guide you through the market to reach all your favourite vendors. Thank you to Heretic Spirits who will again be sponsoring the sanitizing stations at the entrance and exits at the market.
Vendors have been busy planting, growing and baking to offer only the best for our 18th anniversary season and are looking forward to welcoming everyone back. As the growing season becomes more fruitful, so will the variety of the goods available at the market.
Changes to provincial regulations regarding producers permitted at farmers’ markets means that we will now also be welcoming local craft breweries and distillers to our market this year, in addition to the wineries and cideries whose products have been available previously.
