It wasn't the usual eggs benny crowd packed inside Dunlop Street Diner Thursday night, but rather a mix of local artisans, musicians, and friends connecting over cocktails and creativity.
The Sonder Market event was held inside the popular Barrie establishment, the first sampling of a growing and evolving downtown experience for those thirsting for some art, culture, and connection.

Angie Caswell and Winter Jade are the people with the passion behind Sonders Studio & Events and the newly reimagined downtown Sonder Market.
The co-owners keep evolving their business, which now also includes Parking Lot Pizza.
"We've had to expand our market event due to popular demand," says Caswell. "We're very fortunate that after the pandemic more and more businesses are wanting to re-open and connect with events like this."
The two entrepreneurs' moved their East End Market downtown to open up more space for a growing list of vendors wanting to take part.
We wanted to create an experience for the community that brought people together, through music, arts, crafts, food, and fun," says Jade.
The two have partnered with Dunlop Street Diner, Donaleigh's Irish Public House, and North Country for their monthly market.
Thursday's event featured over 20 vendors and the music of Olivia Murphy, B.Knox and DJ KC.
There's also a ‘Market Menu’ for those wanting to grab a bite to eat.
