Arrests made in theft of catalytic converters at a Collingwood car dealership

Three male youths face a bunch of charges resulting from the theft of catalytic converters from a Collingwood car dealership in the early hours of January 3.

OPP say when officers arrived, the suspects attempted to flee in their vehicle, and in doing so, struck two police cruisers causing damage to both.

The trio was arrested without incident.

Police say the suspects have been charged with a total of 13 Criminal Code offences, including:

·      Theft Under $5000

·      Wear a Disguise with Intent to commit an Indictable offence

·      Flight from Police

·      Mischief under $5000

·      Theft Under $5000

·      Fail to comply with an Undertaking.

The accused will be scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on future dates.
