Theft of medication after Barrie pharmacy break-in

An early morning break and enter at a pharmacy located at 125 Bell Farm Road in Barrie.

Police were called to the scene around 2:14 on Friday.

"Responding officers located a broken window and from the investigation that followed, it was determined that the suspect used a baseball bat to smash the window which allowed entry to the pharmacy. He then proceeded to steal a quantity of medication, the specifics of which will be identified by the victim later today," police said in a Friday news release.

The Barrie Police Canine Unit also responded to this incident and unsuccessfully conducted a track.  

From video surveillance obtained by police, the suspect is described as male black, wearing camo green hooded sweater, red/orange undershirt, black pants, and black shoes.
