A Barrie man seems to have a fixation with a particular convenience store in the city.
Dubbed a "habitual offender" by investigators, police arrested a 41-year-old of no fixed address early Monday after officers responded to a report of a person attempting to steal from a convenience store located on the northeast corner of Anne Street North and Dunlop Street West.
The man was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order.
Police allege the suspect was involved in five previous thefts from the same store that dates back to October 10 this year.
Once back at police headquarters, the man was charged with theft under $5,000 from an incident Sunday afternoon in which alcohol had been stolen. As a result of that alleged incident, he was once again charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Monday.
