Woman charged following thefts from vehicles in Angus

An eagle-eyed resident in Angus who contacted Nottawasaga OPP shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday to report a woman attempting to enter parked vehicles led to the recovery of stolen property, according to provincial police.

Police say the caller maintained visual contact with the suspect, who was described as a white female and that she was riding a bike.

Officers arrested the woman, and allege she had multiple items that did not belong to her.

The accused of no fixed address has been charged with the following:

  • Trespassing at night
  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court - four Counts

The accused is being held for a bail hearing.
