Three days in a row of new COVID-19 cases below 200

Another 218 recoveries and 11 deaths since Monday's update

Public Health Ontario has confirmed another 183 cases of COVID-19 have been added to the province-wide caseload, representing the third day in a row where the number of additions was below 200.

This comes as the province confirms another 218 people have recovered from the disease, 27,431 to date. That represents 84.3 percent of all cases.

However, public health officials say another 11 people lost their lives to the virus since yesterday’s update. There have been 2,538 deaths connected to COVID-19 to date.

The province continued to exceed its daily testing target, having run over 21,000 tests in one day to get these results. There were nearly 18,000 tests waiting in backlog.
