
Bracebridge OPP has charged another three drivers with impaired driving, bringing the total of drivers charged under the influence to 20 in May, nearly twice the amount for May 2024.
The last three of May 2025 all came within a three-and-a-half hour span Thursday night and Friday morning.
Thursday at 9 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance call on Ann St., which led to an investigation and the arrest of a 43-year-old man from Bracebridge. He was handed an impaired driving charge as well as a charge for operation while prohibited.
At 10:40 p.m., reports of concerning driving on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst reached officers who located the vehicle near Cedar Lane in Bracebridge. Subsequently, police arrested and charged a 66-year-old woman from Huntsville.
Friday at 12:20 a.m., an officer on general patrol stopped a vehicle in Port Carling, resulting in the arrest of a 43-year-old man from Oakville who was driving in a concerning manner.
All three accused will appear in court later this summer.
