Snowmobiler sustains life-altering injuries after collision with truck in Tiny

A snowmobile operator sustained life‑altering injuries following a collision with a pickup truck in Tiny on Saturday morning.

OPP were called to the intersection of Concession Road 12 and an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail at 9:42 a.m. for a reported collision.

There, officers found a 50-year-old man who had been operating a snowmobile that hit a pickup truck and sustained serious injuries. Paramedics attended the scene and brought him to hospital before he was transferred to a Toronto-area hospital.

The roadway and trail were closed for multiple hours but have since reopened.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or has footage of the incident for more information.
