Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 79-year-old man with attempted murder in connection with a suspicious house fire in Tiny Township.
The suspect, who is from Tiny Township, was also charged with two arson-related offences and one count each of mischief and spousal assault.
The accused was remanded in custody.
Police said the name of the suspect is being withheld out of concern for the victim in this incident.

One person is in custody following a 'suspicious' house fire in Tiny Township.
Around 6 p.m. on Sunday, emergency services responded to a reported structure fire on Macedonia Circle, located east of Penetanguishene.
Tiny Township firefighters attended and extinguished a fully engulfed house fire and a separate garage on the property.
One resident was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
A dog inside the residence died, and a neighbouring home was damaged by fire.
A short time later, officers stopped a vehicle on Golf Link Road in Tiny Township. A person was arrested in connection with the fire and remains in custody. Police said further information regarding charges will be released when it becomes available.
