
Toronto police say one person has been arrested after an officer was shot in the early hours of Thursday during a call for a stolen e-bike.
Police say officers responded to a robbery call for the stolen e-bike around 3 a.m.
Investigators say that once found, the suspect shot an officer.
Police say the officer was taken to hospital with injuries that are serious but not life-threatening.
Investigators say the suspect was arrested, and police seized a firearm.
Police say they are still investigating the shooting.
Deputy Chief Lauren Pogue says she will be giving an update on the officer outside the doors to the St. Michael's Hospital emergency department Thursday morning.
