Toronto Roads Flooded Due To Morning Torrential Downpour

Causing Major Delays and Closures

Heavy rainfall early Wednesday morning has caused flooding and major road closures in Toronto.

Closures included Highway 401 ramps and lane restrictions on Highway 400, 401, and 409, among many others.

Flooding has also affected the TTC, with water coming through the subway ceiling at Jane station.

Toronto Fire has already performed 12 water rescues this morning, including hoisting a car out of a flooded roadway. They are urging people to use caution and avoid driving through floodwaters.
