Rowdy thunderstorms popped up south of Barrie on Sunday with strong winds that brought down trees and hydro wires in Innisfil.
Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches and warnings for the Innisfil-area Sunday afternoon and early evening.
The Stroud and Cookstown areas were hardest hit.
InnPower reported several thousand customers without electricity.
