Trio busted in Barrie as part of ongoing drug dealing probe

Two people from Barrie, one from Orillia, facing possession and trafficking charges among others

A trio is facing drug dealing charges after police say they seized some cocaine and fentanyl.

Two men and one woman were arrested around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, as part of an ongoing drug dealing investigation. Officers were waiting for the suspects to make an appearance, the three were taken into custody while entering a vehicle in the parking lot of a Dunlop Street restaurant. Police say they seized a quantity of drugs and Canadian currency too.

Two men, one from Barrie, the other from Orillia, and both age 21, face charges including trafficking probation violation, and possession of property obtained by crime. A 36-year-old Orillia woman faces similar charges.

All three will appear in Orillia court in early November.
