Trio Facing Attempted Murder Charge Following Angus Shooting

Youth Treated For Non-Life Threatening Wounds

Three Caledon men are facing charges including Attempted Murder, after a shooting in Angus.

Officers were dispatched to the scene on Tuesday with reports of gunfire. An SUV was spotted leaving the scene at a high rate of speed, but police were able to grab a licence plate number regardless.

The vehicle was tracked down near Alliston but allegedly refused to stop for police. A chase was called off for safety’s sake, while police were able to track down three suspects after the fact.

The three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, will answer to charges including Possession of a Restricted Firearm, Robbery, and Attempted Murder at a future court date.

The victim, described as a youth by investigators, was taken to local hosptial with non-life threatening injuries.
