Police in Orillia executed three search warrants as part of a drug investigation in the area.
Two of those search warrants were at homes in Orillia and in Severn Township on Tuesday; two people were arrested at each location. A third search warrant was served a storage unit in Orillia. All three were a result of a lengthy investigation into drug trafficking in the area, according to a police statement Wednesday afternoon.
As a result of the searches, police say they seized some cocaine, hashish, illicit cannabis and edibles, magic mushrooms, and some Canadian currency thought to be connected to drug trafficking.
Two Severn residents, a 35-year-old-man and a 30-year-old woman face seven charges each, including trafficking and cocaine possession. A 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Ramara, face three trafficking-related charges each.
