Tuesday Evening Commute Marred By GO Train Delays
Equipment Issues and Blocked Tracks
It hasn’t been a good time lately to Get On The GO.
Extensive delays were reported across the entire system Tuesday evening, including on the Barrie line. A snafu with a vehicle on the tracks disrupting the Lakeshore West line, which snowballed throughout the system, causing delays of nearly an hour for many passengers.
An incident involving a vehicle and one of our GO Trains earlier this afternoon on the LSW line led to multiple delays during the rush hour on all of our lines, and we sincerely apologize. Check if your trip is Service Guarantee eligible at https://t.co/w59gxcYgtu.

Following that, reports of an equipment malfunction lead to further delays on the Barrie Line, with trains unable to move past the Barrie South GO Station, which wasn’t resolved until approaching midnight.
Update: The Barrie equipment issue has been resolved and regular service has resumed on schedule. Your patience has been greatly appreciated.
