Two Bradford Restaurants Target of Thefts

Donation Box Swiped in First Theft, Late-Night B&E In the Second

A pair of thefts at Bradford restaurants has police looking for a few suspects.

The first robbery happened on Saturday; South Simcoe Police say someone stole a donation box meant for a local hospital, right off the counter of the Holland Street establishment. Investigators say the theft happened around noon. The suspect is described as male, about 5’7″tall, wearing jeans, work boots, a black hoodie with a crest on the left side.

Police then got the call to a Dissette Street eatery around 2:30 Tuesday morning, in regards to damage to the property later determined to be the result of a break and enter. No suspect description, while investigators were able to say someone entered the place forcefully, then fled in a waiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two thefts are separate investigations. Police have not said of they are connected.
