Alliston resident among two charged in Dufferin OPP drug bust

Two were arrested and charged, including one from Alliston after a Dufferin OPP-led drug trafficking investigation had police executing multiple search warrants.

Officers executed warrants at residences in Alliston and Fergus, as well as a vehicle in Alliston and in Orangeville.

Assisting with the investigation were community street crime units from the Dufferin, Collingwood, Nottawasaga, and Huronia West OPP detachments.

Police seized a mass of drugs and related paraphernalia, and later arrested two people.

A 31-year-old from Alliston and a 57-year-old from Mulmur were each charged with cocaine possession and trafficking, as well as possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The investigation is ongoing

SEIZURES

The following items have been seized during the investigation:

  • 61 grams of cocaine
  • Large quantity of Canadian currency
  • Debt list
  • Three cell phones
  • Scales
  • Food mixers containing cocaine residue
