Charges laid following attempted murder in Georgina

Victim has since recovered

Two people are facing attempted murder charges following a stabbing in Georgina.

York Regional Police officers responded to reports of an injured person in the area of the Queensway and Simcoe Avenue at around 9 a.m. Friday. Officers arrived to find a male victim suffering multiple serious stab wounds.

The 33-year-old victim was rushed to hospital and has since recovered, according to police.

Officers identified two suspects in connection to this incident. Both were arrested and charged. One suspect from Newmarket, another from Georgina, face charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, weapons possession, and more.
