A Barrie motorist is among two people charged by Huronia West OPP with impaired driving in separate collisions in Clearview Township.
On Friday around 10:40 p.m., police responded to a three-vehicle collision on Fairgrounds Road near Nottawasaga 33-34 Sideroad.
Police say an impaired driving investigation was launched.
A 20-year-old man from Proton Station was charged with impaired driving, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor, and novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration about zero.
Around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Huronia West OPP responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch near Highway 26 and 3-4 Sideroad Sunnidale.
Police say officers began an impaired driving investigation.
They charged a 21-year-old Barrie man with two impaired-driving related offences, and a charge each of using a plate not authorized for the vehicle, failing to apply for a permit on becoming the owner, and failing to surrender an insurance card.
