Two men arrested and one on the run following the theft of an ATV in Wasaga Beach

The arrests were made Monday and police continue to try locating other suspect

Two arrests have be made and one suspect is on the loose in relation to a stolen ATV in Wasaga Beach.

OPP received the complaint on Sunday that an ATV had been stolen from an address on Thomas Street. The following day, Monday, an officer spotted two men riding the stolen vehicle on Pearl Street.

The officer followed to an address on Academy Avenue and attempted a traffic stop but the suspects fled on foot. Following a pursuit, One suspect was found hiding inside the residence and arrested while the other made a getaway through a second-story window.

While police are still searching for the second suspect, a third man implicated himself during the arrest and has been charged with obstruction of justice.

Both of those accused are set to appear in a Collingwood court on July 7th. The escaped suspect has since been identified and police say there is no concern for public safety as they attempt to locate him.
