Two pedestrians struck by vehicle: Barrie police

Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in south Barrie on Wednesday evening.

In an email to Barrie 360, Barrie police communications coordinator Jennett Mays said one person was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, and the other may have been treated on the scene by paramedics.

Police were alerted about the collision around 6:15 p.m.

Mays confirmed the driver remained at the scene.

Veterans Drive was closed between Harvie Road and Caplan Avenue for the investigation.

No other details have been released.
