Two people injured in ambulance, motorcycle collision

One person taken to Toronto trauma centre

Barrie Police is seeking witnesses and dashcam video following a collision between a motorcycle and an ambulance that happened around six o’clock Saturday evening at the intersection of Bayfield and Livingstone Streets.

A 35-year-old man driving the motorcycle was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie with minor injuries. A 35-year-old female passenger was taken to RVH, then transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.

Police said the ambulance was responding to a call at the time of the collision but did not have any patients on board.
