Ukraine flag-raising in Tiny Township

Flag will fly until Apr. 14

News release – from Tiny Township

The following statement was issued by Mayor George Cornell regarding the
public’s ongoing support for Ukraine:

“The Township of Tiny is deeply concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine,”
said Mayor Cornell. “We are compelled by our common sense of humanity to reject this
violence and stand for peace and democracy. Our hearts are with the people of
Ukraine, their families, and friends. We join others in calling for peace to be restored.”

Mayor, Council, Adam Chambers, Member of Parliament, Simcoe North, and staff came
together on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, for a flag-raising in support of Ukraine. The
Ukrainian flag will fly outside of the Municipal Office at the Township until Thursday,
April 14, 2022.

Residents may consider donating to a humanitarian organization, such as the Canada-Ukraine Foundation and the Canadian Red Cross.
