South Simcoe Police dog Nash helped track a robbery suspect that led to that person's arrest.

Around 6:45 Tuesday evening, police responded to a report of a robbery at the Sandy Cove Variety on Lockhart Road in Innisfil. They say a man who was armed with a knife and wearing a mask, a dark-coloured jacket with a hood, demanded money from the store owner. The owner handed over some cash, and the suspect fled on foot, eastbound on Lockhart Road.

Police deployed the canine unit that tracked the accused to a home on Flora Drive in Innisfil. A knife believed to have been used in the robbery was found outside the residence.
