Careless driving charge laid after vehicle crashes into house in Bradford

A 77-year-old woman has been charged with careless driving after a vehicle crashed into a house in Bradford.

Officers with the South Simcoe Police Service responded to the single-vehicle collision at a Church Street home on Monday around 12:25 p.m.

"There were no injuries, but there was significant damage to the vehicle and house," said police in a news release Tuesday morning. "Officers located a nearby CCTV video that showed the vehicle suddenly accelerating to a high speed before colliding with the house."

The Richmond Hill woman faces one charge of careless driving.
