Huronia West OPP investigating fatal collision in Wasaga Beach

A collision in Wasaga Beach that left one dead Saturday is being investigated by Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Huronia West OPP responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian on River Road West between Village Gate Drive and Bells Park Road.

Simcoe County Paramedic Services and the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team assisted Huronia West OPP in the response and investigation.

The pedestrian that was struck, a 73-year-old from Scarborough, died as a result.

The investigation is ongoing.
