Wasaga Beach is looking for a few good food trucks.

It's put the call out to vendors to be a part of one of Canada's busiest beachfronts this summer and fall.

“This is about being part of the full Wasaga Beach summer experience,” said Mayor Brian Smith. “People come here for the beach, the events, and the atmosphere - and great food is a big part of that. We’re looking for mobile food vendors who want to be part of a destination that draws millions of visitors and continues to grow year after year.”

The Town’s upcoming events calendar is anchored by a range of high-profile attractions designed to draw large, repeat crowds. Highlights include symphony fireworks on Canada Day, the award-winning Memories of Summer music festival - now expanding into a three-day event - and the debut of the Wasaga BeachLife Festival. Together, these events create multiple high-traffic weekends and peak revenue opportunities for vendors, supported by a steady stream of visitors returning to the beach throughout the summer.

In addition to summer programming, Wasaga Beach is also extending its event season into the fall. Returning favourites such as the Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues Festival and the Mayor’s Rodeo and Hootenanny Fall Festival aim to attract visitors beyond traditional peak months. Town officials say the expanded calendar is part of a larger strategy to strengthen the local tourism economy and create more consistent earning opportunities for vendors.

Vendors selected through the application process will also have the chance to participate in a planned Food Truck Festival in spring or summer 2027. The event is expected to further cement Wasaga Beach’s growing reputation as a destination for food and entertainment.

As part of its continued investment in improving the beachfront experience, the Town is seeking vendors who can deliver high-quality menus, reliable service, and the ability to operate in busy outdoor settings. Officials say successful applicants will play an important role in shaping the overall atmosphere for visitors, contributing to a vibrant and welcoming environment.

Interested vendors can review the full Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) and submit applications online through the Town’s Bids and Tenders platform: wasagabeach.bidsandtenders.ca
