One person killed in Wasaga Beach house fire

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) is investigating a deadly house fire in Wasaga Beach.

Around 6:15 Tuesday evening, first responders were alerted about a residential fire on Dunkerron Avenue.

"One person was pronounced deceased," police said in a news release.

The victim is a 67-year-old man, added police. There were no other occupants in the residence.

At this time, the fire is not considered suspicious.

The Ontario Fire Marshal will continue to investigate with assistance from the OPP Huronia West Crime Unit, and a postmortem will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
