Municipal Water System Gets 100% On Environment Ministry Review
Drink up, Wasaga Beach, the water’s fine.
The municipality’s drinking water system just got a perfect score on a review by the Environment Ministry.
“On behalf of town council, I want to commend our Public Works Department and the Ontario Clean Water Agency for looking after our municipal water supply and distribution systems,” Mayor Nina Bifolchi said. “We have received the best rating possible from the ministry and that is cause for great pride and comfort. Our water is safe and that is a key factor for a healthy and thriving community such as Wasaga Beach.”
Every drinking water system in Ontario has to go through the same review under the Safe Water Drinking Act, making sure each municipally operated system meets standards in water source, treatment, and distribution.
