Water had to be brought in by tanker to battle Innisfil house fire Thursday morning
Home considered a total loss by Fire Services
No injuries reported after a fire destroyed a home in Innisfil.
Innisfil Fire and Rescue arrived at the home on Big Bay Point Road near West Street at around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, to find it fully engulfed in flames. A nearby detached garage was also on fire. Crews began working to protect the fire from spreading to a nearby boathouse and cottage.
The fire service says, as there were no hydrants in the immediate area, water had to be shuttled in via tanker.
The house is considered a total loss, with damage estimated at $750,000. Investigators are expected on scene throughout the day Thursday to try and determine a cause.
