Southern Georgian Bay OPP are investigating a home invasion in Waverley on Friday evening.

Around 9:46 p.m., police responded to a 911 call to the OPP Communication Centre reporting the incident at a residence near the intersection of Truax Lane and Bannister Street on Vasey Road.

Once at the scene, officers say the family of the residence was allegedly threatened by three men with firearms. The residents weren't harmed and the suspects left in an unknown direction in a dark-coloured Dodge Durango.

Police say the suspects are described as black, wearing bandanas, and could possibly be armed - do not approach if located. Contact 9-1-1.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
