The Waypoint Centre For Mental Health Care is organizing virtual tribute in support of front line workers.
On Wednesday, May 5th everyone is invited to wear green, take a selfie, and post it to social media and Waypoint’s Facebook event page.
President and CEO of Waypoint Carol Lambie says they wanted to use the occasion of Mental Health Week to say thank you to all the essential workers, from hospital employees and emergency services to grocery store workers and beyond.
“We’ve transitioned this to a virtual event to make sure we’re adhering to social gathering and physical distancing rules. We’d love the community to join us in these online recognition efforts while staying safe.”
Lambie adds that it’s time to #GetReal about how we feel and lean on others.
