Two men have been charged after provincial police responded to a weapons call on Tuesday evening at a home on Barrie Road in Orillia.
Police say officers arrived to find signs of a violent disturbance.
They say two suspects allegedly assaulted a person inside the residence using a staple gun and a guitar, then fled the scene. It's alleged they returned moments later, forcibly re-entering the home.
The suspects, a 35-year-old from Orillia and a 21-year-old from Penetanguishene, have both been charged with the following:
- assault with a weapon
- break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
- uttering threats - cause death of bodily harm
The suspect from Penetanguishene was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Both individuals were held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
